Touring the Shop

I dropped by Pat's 605 Cyclery the other day and snapped a few photos. Allow me to give you a guided tour of the place. First of all, they've got it ALL. This first picture was taken through a fish eye mirror in the center of the store to dramatize the amazing variety of product available at this family bicycle shop in Norwalk, CA.

Family shop is the operative term, here. Ron and the gang are perfectly happy and capable to help serious riders with their product decisions, fittings, and all the rest, but most of the business is done with kids of all ages who just want a bike for the fun of it. Check out the kids bikes and unicycles for instance.

Maybe your more into the cruiser scene. This woodside was just one of dozens of cool, very comfortable bikes with nice wide seats and big fat tires.

Maybe your ride needs a new wheel. I'm pretty sure you will find what you want from the huge selection available. But if not, most of the time, your only a day away from a custom order. With Pat's 605 being located in the very middle of Los Angeles County, there are several distributors within just a few miles of the shop.

The selection list goes on and on. I don't want to bore you, but there are several lines of road bikes, mountain bikes, bmx racing bikes, and any other kind of bike known to man. Then there is a fully stocked BMX department with all the coolest parts, accessories, and stickers. And then there are soft goods like gloves and socks and bags. You will really like the cycling clothes section. Her is a sample from that department.

Well, that concludes the tour for today... Or almost. Just one more stop. No bicycle store stays in business for over 50 years unless they have developed and maintained a reputation for flawless service and repair. Keep in mind the second and third generation of Patterson's are teaching and overseeing the service department, and they are certainly focused on making sure you are thrilled with the work they do on your bike. Here is Joe, one of the companies best wrench jocks, making sure that wheel is perfect in every way for your next ride.

Remember, Pat's 605 Cyclery is located on Studebaker between Firestone and Imperial Hwy. That makes it less than 2 minutes from the 5 (Santa Ana) Fwy, the 605 and the 105. If you live in Downey, Santa Fe Springs, Bellflower, or Pico Rivera, this is your closest full service bicycle shop. If you live in Whittier, Cerritos, Buena Park, or Paramount, it is merely the friendliest within a 15 minute drive for you.

The Grass Is Always Greener

We are not yet able to announce the addition of this product to our line, but maybe this guy is on to something.
